About

I am a PhD candidate in Political Science at Carleton University. I completed my MA in European, Russian and Eurasian Studies with a specialization in European Integration. My research interests include European democracy and legitimacy, modes of direct and participatory democracy in the EU, EU identity and the European Parliament.

My MA dissertation looked at the Europeanization of East/Central European green parties between the 2004 and 2009 EP elections.  I am currently also working on a project on EU legitimacy in media discourse with Dr. Achim Hurrelmann: "Multilevel Legitimacy in the EU".
