About
Jordan Richard Schoenherr is a doctoral candidate at Carleton University in the Cognitive Pscyhology program. Under the supervision of Dr. Craig Leth-Steensen and Dr. William M. Petrusic he studied the relationship between attention, working memory and confidence processing. He currently is working under the supervision of Dr. Guy Lacroix examining the effects of prior knowledge on concept formation of both implicit and explicit representations.
In addition to being a PhD candidate, Mr. Schoenherr has been a consultant for the scientific integrity project at the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS), Health Canada. His literature reviews and outlines (co-written with Dr. Gordon Lawson) provided the basis for a discussion paper developed to inform and guide the discussion at the Canadian Research Integrity Committee conference, Research Integrity: Toward a Canadian Approach. This conference acted as the starting point for the creation of a national project to preserve integrity in research.
Current research projects include:
+ Scale Format Dependencies in Confidence Processing.
+ Developing a Scientific Misconduct Taxonomy
+ Theory of Mind as an Automatic Rule or Control Heuristic
