About
I did my MA at UBC with Dietmar Neufeld (1997) and my PhD at the University of St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto (2003). I have published mostly in social-scientific criticism of the New Testament, with a particular interest in Mediterranean culture and its impact on earliest Christians and their writings. I am also working on a book of representations of Jesus in works of fiction, and am becoming increasingly interested in what is being coined Secular Biblical Criticism.
