About

I was trained as a modern European specialist and I teach a range of courses in German history and the history of sexuality. I have written articles on the regulation of same-sex sexuality in Nazi and Cold War Germany, and have just finished a book on spaces of sexual encounter in post World War II Berlin.

I am writing up a book on pink triangle victims during and after the Holocaust, while looking ahead to two new projects. One explores the use of web 2.0 in countering the rise of neo-Nazism while the other analyzes the role and place of fascist aesthetics in queer erotic photography.
